DENVER − The Timberwolves got 30 points from Anthony Edwards and 24 from Julius Randle and beat the Nuggets 119-114 on Monday, April 20 to tie the teams’ first-round NBA playoff series at one apiece.

And it might look like Minnesota flies in the face of that on nights like Monday, when an underachieving team cranks it up to 10 over the final three frames to knock off a perceived title contender in Denver to even its first-round series at a game apiece.

Just when the Timberwolves appeared dead, they rallied from a 19-point deficit and stunned the Nuggets with a 119-114 win to even the best-of-seven series at one game apiece — and now the series moves to Minneapolis for Games 3 and 4.
