Takaya is one of a handful of famous wolves in recent history. Every wolf has a story, but few are told. I am grateful that the stories of these individual wolves have become shared and known. Wolves are elusive and almost impossible to observe in the deep way necessary to get to know individuals. And we are much more likely to protect and conserve if we can relate to an individual wolf and not just think of wolves as a ‘population’. 💙 | Takaya Lone Wolf
