In the early 2000s, Japan's street racing scene exploded, with modified Skylines, Supras, and RX-7s dominating the highways. To level the playing field, police were given R34 GTRs as patrol cars. With the RB26DETT twin-turbo engine and advanced all-wheel drive, these cop cars had the speed and handling to chase down racers on the infamous Wangan expressways.
